The Safety for Female Travellers Course prepares you to deal with sexual harassment when working and travelling abroad.
Purpose
Are you aware of the potential dangers for women abroad? Our Safety for Female Travellers Course helps you to deal with sexual harassment and sexual assault when working or travelling overseas. It will provide you with insights into sexual aggression and the different factors that influence gender relations in specific cultures. You will become more aware of the choices in dealing with sexual aggression, and you will learn how to verbally and physically respond to sexual harassment in an effective manner.
Method
This training course is based on role playing and interaction in simulations of real-life scenarios with a male actor. From this you will learn and practice skills and techniques to help build self-confidence and to free yourself from and demobilize an attacker. A safe learning environment is maintained at all times. Because this is a women-only training course, the trainer is female.
